"Started Listening to metal in grade 4 - Motley Crue, Poison etc. Rockin' on with the cock rock. I started Playing guitar in year 9. Inspired by Testament. I always preferred Testament to Metallica. Then Discovered Bolt Thrower + experimented + embraced down tuning + the joys of death metal playing fast and playing precise, pushing yourself to the limits. However I never seemed to get a grasp of widdly diddly solo's, a limit I never reached so I chunked it out as a rhythm guitarist. Then one day I discovered Machine Head, a style that changed my direction in playing. It's brutal but not death metal brutal. Groove, Brutality, Chunk, Speed + Grind. Lets start a band that combines them all. Go Bowel Mouth."

"Never interested with anything with a guitar until I heard the booming tunes of Pantera. Influence for starting guitar was a friend at high school, Ed, who I admired for his skills. Started playing guitar and was asked to join a band in year 9 by Sonya, a few years ahead of me. I was asked to play bass for them, but being a typical guitarist, I thought bass was a boring instrument, but I'll give it a shot. After buying my Washburn (first bass) I fell in love with the instrument and locked away my guitar. Lycanthrope set off playing at local venues such as The Palace, Cathouse and Greyhound Hotel, with known acts, such as The Wolves and Bowel Mouth. Had band troubles with the loss of drummers over and over. Trent, who I was living with asked me to join Bowel Mouth when his bass player and good friend of mine had to leave the band. Struggling to keep up with the tunes I focussed on my four stringed friend and pushed myself to further more furious riffs becoming the gal I am today. No I don't use distortion on my vocals, it took 5 years but I am that brutal."

"Bought a drum kit out of the trading post when I was 16 - it begins... Like any other Metal-er, I started out playing Metallica/Sepultura covers with a bunch of mates from high school, just jamming really. Just fucking around and playing at mates parties etc... The sheer brutality of bands like Napalm Death and Fear Factory really inspired me to make some noise. I attempted a number of auditions for bands, stoner, rock, metal, all sorts but couldn't find a hole to fill with my drumstick... I fell into a rock band 'Mescal Ire' with another group of high school mates. With them, writing and playing original music was fucking rewarding and I wanted to do more. With a lull in the Ire camp, I found myself getting frustrated, metal was calling me again, my unused double-kick needed a good work out... Need I ask no more, a phone call from Trent from Bowel Mouth with an offer I couldn't refuse! I was fucking shocked to say the least, I had been going to Bowel Mouth gigs for ages, they were pretty much my metal hero's, along with The Wolves of course. Now an opportunity to join the band! To play metal! To push myself to the limits! To be rude! To say fuck let's just have some real fun! It took me all of 15 minutes to make the decision... "
