DAVID'S RESUME
(pdf)

BowelMouth wholeheartedly endorses the work done by David and would ask that you consider the above resume should you need graphic art or drawing for your project.

Here is a small look at how the Burger Grill artwork came about. Working with artist David Morrissey on this project, the realization of the album cover took around 4 months of heavy drinking and staring at computer screens. David hand drew the images and then scanned them into Illustrator and added elements like shading and backgrounds along with the colour. The concepts for this album were developed deep within the BowelCave. There was a basic story premise and from that the script for the comic and inside the Burger Grill was written. Various changes occurred along the way, but the format and idea remained the same. Jenna was to be the star.

Below you will see some of the working drawings for the Burger Grill....

Altenate cover sees BELCH
copping it sweet.
Jenna was modelled on porn star Jenna Jamerson, and you can see that after the first version, she really takes shape, bigger porn star tits, short skirt and undies showing, totally like a cover of a Jenna video. The alternate cover was originally going to be the front cover, but because of bullshit censorship and all that, we made it the inside alternate cover, so you have the choice of swapping it if you want, and it is also Belch's fantasy realised. For a fat bastard he really know how to go the growl.

End result.

The comic strip is an ad-on story to the audio that appears on tracks 3, 7, 11 & 15. It was originally the entire plot for the Burger Grill story, but we had already written another script and wanted to use all of it. So the comic became the visual part, and takes off from track 15 of the audio. We loved the idea of creating the back story and letting the listener get an all round picture of the BowelMouth Burger Grill. As a fully concept driven album, the package delivers a much more enguaging album that breaks away from the metal format, but still delivers the sausage when it comes to the music. It's also fun and that's what it's all about, we had a fucking riot putting this disk together and hope that is shows.

Look forward to the next album.
We are working on it NOW!
